[Spridgets] First drive on new engine

That does sound familiar. In my youth running in a rebuilt engine involved
a lot of 'short bursts'. A 1000 miles is that I had mind but it will
probably need more than that before I put it in the dyno. I usually get comments
like - in a few more thousands miles it will probably produce another 5bhp+.

I was tempted to put a sign in the back saying 'running in, please pass' but
for 60mph and quick through the gears even changing at 3000rpm decided not
to bother.

Did I forget to mention my W E S L A K E rocker cover in this post?

Regards

Graudally increase speed, in
short bursts, until maximum speed is achieved at 1000 miles"

We used to put a small notice in the back window that read "Running In".
