Hi,

Mine did that too.  It ended up that the spring brush was a tad bit long.  I had to shorten it as the books show a longer one installed.  Take the brush apart by un-soldiering the wire.  then mark it to the correct size.  I used my belt sander up-side down to grind it down.  Because it is plastic it can break real easy so go slow.  Then resolder and try it again.  Take it in small steps, because you don't want it too short either.  I took mine down an 1/8"

There is also a small indent that sometimes will wear out.  It should be inside the horn hub.  The small spring clip fits into this.  Mine was very worn and I had to re cut a new one on my mill at work after hours..  This helped too.
