Jack,
The neatest way I've seen it done is with Dzus fasteners, on Glen's Turbo
Bugeye.  You will need to fabricate some brackets for the inner part of the
fastener but it is neat and unobtrusive.

Just need to find an easy way to tie the bonnet down with out reinventing
the
wheel. Think I saw some one somewhere that used sume rubber straps or such
up
under the wheel wells where they could not be seen?
