[Spridgets] heater valve

I think the lever types are the 1500 types. My 1500 has a lever.

The heater valve on my 1098 CG motor has a lever rather than the spigot 
handle. Is this correct for the motor. 

The one from my 948 engine has the spigot handle but the round handle is
long gone. Are replacement parts available for just the handle and core
or 
is a whole new valve required?
