[Spridgets] Darts, GTO's and GTI's...

Don't want to detract from the discussion on all the various Darts, but this sounds like a fun excuse to play gear-head trivia.

How about the Gran Turismo Omologato (GTO) from both Ferrari & Pontiac. Did anybody ever get upset or sue anybody else over that one?

While we're on the subject, how about the Lancia Monte Carlo? It was renamed to Scorpion for the US market because Chevrolet already had the name Monte Carlo here.

Of course, there is the Suzuki Swift GTi vs. Volkswagen GTI.

Then there's the old story of how Fiat named their new car the "8V" because they were afraid Ford had the name "V8" patented.

  Anybvody else want to play?

Here is one for you guys. In the early '60s, there was a sports car made in Africa but designed in England. It was the Delta Dart if I remember correctly. A really nice race car also. It had E. Ford pre-crossflow power.
