I dated a girl in the days of yore that couldn't continue the relationship
becasue she was moving to Arizona to avoid "sliding into the sea with the next
big one".  A real believer in the "end days" crap.  Pity she didn't take a
geology class.  The continental shelf is riding UP and OVER the Pacific plate.
California is actually rising, not sinking.  Oh, well, I did better in the
long run.
