[Spridgets] Sticking Speedo Needle

Hi All,
I have a '59 Sprite. The speedo needle rises with speed. It does not fall when
slowing the car down. When I take the speedometer apart what pieces get
lubricated and with what type of lubricant? Or is there some other defect that
could be causing this problem?
