WOODBURY b Tom Ashmore is full of surprises. He's an ex-Marine, a veteran of the war in Vietnam, a winner of three Purple Heart medals, a former police officer, and a self-described super patriot who deeply loves his country. 

He is a businessman who owns a tactical training company in Woodbury, and he has recently and publicly announced that he will no longer purchase goods and supplies made in any communist country, including China.
