The local police can do the Vin check. You have to get the form from the DMV.
My FV police department sends out the parking control guy to fill out the
form. As long as it is certified by the police it does not matter what
department. Unless things have changed in the last few years.

Take a breath.

Just got off the phone with the contractor doing my patio and they
will start work on Monday so my opening for next week has been
closed.   That also means that the rest of Aug. is now open.
