Terry Pratchet is a 'him', unfortuantely he has just been diagnosed with 
Alzheimers....
I've enjoyed his books, especially the character "DEATH" - who always 
'speaks' in capital letters......
They are all satirical, and are even funnier if you are familiar with the Brit 
way of life... they are almost as funny from a 'Colonial' point of view

Try starting with "Reaper Man", or "Mort"...
