So tell me...... what are you using for a gas can.  I'm driving my 64 
Mini with a 6 gallon tank, and I usually carry a spare gallon in 
plastic. I'm not sure it is any less dangerous than the original, but 
I was poking around looking unsuccessfully for a metal can.

I was also planning on meandering through Iowa.  All roads seem to be flooded.
