Hi K&L

I had a very similar problem.  After tuning carbs...changing 
filters...changing fuel pump....re-timing....it ended up being swollen 
rubber washers on the carbs....If I remember correctly at the bottom of the 
float bowl.  Dave Lieb was there when after many hours we dicovered the 
problem.  The washers swelled and covered a horizontal hole in a bolt at he 
bottom of the float bowl.   Maybe Dave can elaborate.
