[Spridgets] Transmission Oil Selection - ZDDP??

Ok, I know the subject of lubricants is a reoccurring theme that 
you're getting tired of, but I don't remember this discussion.

* We know that modern motor oils have had the ZDDP removed.
* We know that the factory recommended motor oil for use in the transmissions

So does a modern oil provide the necessary ingredients to work 
properly in our transmissions?
What's a suitable substitute IF modern motor oil is inadequate? 
Redline MTL? Or??
