[Spridgets] Clutch release problem

John,

Look in one of the access holes on the top or lower left side of the tranny. Take a mirror and look for the there 3 or 4 sets of little tab springs around the perimeter of the pressure plate that take the deceleration of the flywheel. These can break, especially when the clutch over-throws, which may be possible with the PO mods. This is most common with an aluminum flywheel and a motor with a little horsepower, but it can happen in the stock configuration as well.

Ron

PS- Since Jahimiak's car weighs 1100 pounds, many of us refer to it as a Diet Sprite. Others call it far worse.
