[Spridgets] Tires for a '78 Midget?

The tyre bead is too close to the nipples to safely do this so please  don't. 
 There are wire wheels which do have the spoke wells sealed with a  mastic 
but the rim design is such that the tyre bead is not right on top of the  spoke 
wells and mastic.
