  Not by folks who know Opels from then!  The Manta was a sporty coupe version of the Opel 1900 (Ascona) sedan.  Very nice looking and driving.  It was fast enough to be banned from showroom stock racing and people had to run the 1900 instead.
  The very boxy 1900 was the -The Car To Beat- in it's class. :-) :-) :-)
