There is probably the black Bakelite housing there? Be careful about
tightening up the fit by whacking the rivet with punch. It can be done. The
other thing you run into with loose electrical junctions is corrosion. Even
a tight fitting joining of metal parts might not make the electrical
connection. My experience has been that when the switches start to fail,
they are used up. Try to find something that'll work in the world of new; or
carry your cell phone (AAA) when you're out driving. ...bill in oregon

I may be repeating myself, but am not sure my other question
reached the list.
I have an ignition switch that has a loose  post. 
Can I solder the post to the rivet that holds it or should
I use a punch to tighten the rivet or what? Appreciate any
help.  Vern
