I had a Triumph Daytona and a Tiger, the only problems were always caused by
the English gremlins in the electrical systems.B We all know why the English
drink warm beer, Lucas made the refrigerators.

Subject: [Spridgets] 70 Tiger - Brit Bike Comment

Regarding Brit bikes. . . .

I had a 1970 Triumph Tiger, 650cc, single carb (Bonny's had the double carb
otherwise the same bike).

I rode it for several years as my main transport. B I was also a full time
Sr. Pastor of a large church at the time.

Some of the more conservative members were thrown off when they saw me pull
into the parking lot of the church. B I pulled off my full face helmet with
tinted face cover and when they saw it was their "Pastor" they were a bit
stunned.

I had to remind them that riding a Triumph was the only theologically
correct bike to ride and that it was noted in the Old Testament, B "David's
triumph could be heard all throughout the land."

As far as the bike was concerned, it never gave me any trouble, it ran
flawlessly. B It did leak, as they all leak on the showroom floor (the way
they split cases guaranteed leaks).

To me, this is another example of a well built Brit machine.
