There also was a Sports Car that came out of this effort.  Also made by
KurtisKraft (maker of front-engined Indy cars), it was called the Muntz 500K
and looked like an Allard J-2.  Dave Fogg of Olympia (or Tacoma) Wash, got
ahold of one and Tom Carstens brought it to Sheldon (airport) raceway for the
Seafair races.  Went like mad; cornered okay.  I think this was in between
Tom's HWM-Jaguar (later -Chevy) and his Knobbly (again, -Jag, then -Chevy) in
the late 50's - earl 60's.  The last one was the first car I'd ever seen with
a speedo that topped 200 mph.
