Regarding the breather "can" you mentioned mounting (yes, I read that far).  I
bought a small flat top cone-shaped breather element from Advance for about
$8.00.  I mounted it to the tube from the stock valve cover, but it
should just as easily work in the position you mentioned.  It has a
pleated filter element covered by mesh and looks kind of like a miniature
cold-air intake.  It filter element comes in various colors, so I got a red
one to match the stock engine color.  This weekend I saw that Ryan had mounted
the exact same filter to his, only he chose the blue one that more closely
goes with his car color.
