Yes but stainless carriage bolts last longer than the crap available 
today but the usual suppliers sell 3/8 x 24 chrome "bumper bolts"
I like the carriage bolts as they do not stand as proud as the bumper 
bolts.

A long and short iron on each side, I can't find a good shot of the set
