[Spridgets] Datsun 5 speed speedo

Greetings, it's been a while:

My speedo stopped working.  It's not the speedo itself; the cable is not
turning.  Also the cable cannot be turned when the car is still, making me
think that the cable is ok.  But I cannot get the cable disonnected from the
transmission drive....it's too cramped in the tunnel.

Anyone have any ideas on how to disconnect the cable in the tunnel?

Anyone know where I can get a replacement speedo drive for the Datsun 5 speed?
