Let me clarify a bit - 40+ accidents between the ages of 11 - 30.
Mostly my fault for one reason or another.

Maturity and/or having children somehow have changed that behavior.

hmmm, maybe so...

I'm 50 years old. I grew up logging and farming, working with all sorts of
heavy equipment.
I've been through 40+ car & motorcycle wrecks, all kinds of flaming
impacting experiences that could have caused a lot more inconvenience than
what I let them.
I currently have 4 daughters & 2 sons  - 3 teenagers, two 'tweens' and a
daughter going to college living at home. etc... etc... etc...

Maybe I am a wuss - I guess I've been called a lot worse!

I put new carpet and new seats in the car and am just trying to protect
them.
Not to mention, trying to avoid that musty moldy nasty stuff that grows on
everything that stays wet here in the Pacific Northwest.
