It all boils down to the adage I heard from my Harley mechanic when I wanted
to take my new Twin Cam motor apart after it was only 3 months old for
bigger pistons, cam, timing, etc.  He asked me "How fast do you want to go?,
then he asked me, "How much money you got?"  Speed = money, money = speed.

Then there is the Law of Diminishing Returns.  At first, that next horse 
might cost you $100.  After a while, they will be $500 ea.  Then $1000 ea. 
You always want just a few more.  The secret is to stop the sickness before 
your wallet is empty.
