Heck they make em out of plastic these days!
I had an old magnesium deck mower that lasted me 12 years after I picked 
it up in the trash.
Then I bought a new mower with a Briggs & Straton, and learned that 
mexican Briggs engines just were not the same as good ole USA Briggs 
engines.
Now I have a Honda mower and it has been great for over 10 years.
