On the Bugeye at least, the fuel lines are steel so they are not an issue.

The hose connecting the two SU's should be replace with a modern Neoprene hose anyway.
And neoprene is compatible to E85.

As far as the needles go brass is listed as incompatible with E85.
However bronze is compatible. So you could have those parts machined in bronze.

In any case I don't think that in the short term much damage would occur
by running E85 through the SU as they are presently.  You may have to enrichen
the mixture a bit. But I don't think you will need to alter the needle profile.

The biggest problem with E85 is that it is conductive an accelerates corrosion all around.
(like in the tank).
