Imagine what they could do if they were RWD.

Maximum acceleration comes from between 5% and 10% tire slip.  Since this 
means you have exceeded 100% traction, you really have nothing left for side 
traction.  Now, since, ideally, you start accelerating just before the apex, 
FWD and ideal acceleration out of a corner don't mix well.

Sorry, David, you need to beat them in some other way.  Maybe your 
competition has a hotrod Mini like Peter's?
