RD, if I'm not mistaken, Pontiac had a 326 until 1967 and that was opened up 
to a 350 in 68 -- unless the 327 was a transplant.

Not much of a story, but the first car that I drove was a '68 Pontiac
Parisienne with a 327.  My mother drove my sister and I down to the local
ballpark which had a dirt lane around it and let us practice our driving. 
It
didn't take me long to start drifting and she quietly excused herself from 
the
car and went and sat under a tree and read a book.  It would do at least 105
on the highway.
