 Yes, it does happen to the best of us, all the way to the point of
removing the valve cover and checking camshaft timing and trying a
second distributor but same cap so the wires were still wrong and having
3 guys work on it for 2 hours before the wife came out and said... uh
your firing oder is wrong.

 That was close to 20 years ago and she still reminds me :)
