[Spridgets] Need a crankshaft Pulley for a 948

There were at least two different crankshaft pulleys on the spridget. I
think all the 948s came with a riveted and pressed steel pully. 1275s came
with a real damper, a cast assembly with a heavy weight part attached to the
pulley via a rubber ring (or something like that.) I don't know about the
1098s, but the VB cat lists the same pulley as for the 948. At least one of
the usual suspects did sell a pulley that looks and is heavy like the damper
but it is one solid lump without the rubber part.
You can use either pulley or damper on the 948, but the 1275 should have the
damper. Minis used a two part pulley damper assy that is bolted together
and can also be used on inline engines. If you want to use a Gilmer belt
system the pulley can be replaced by one with teeth ( you'll need to change
the water pump and alternator pulleys as well.)
If you have a 1275 damper that is not serviceable because the rubber is
cracking, you can send it to the Damper Doctor to be repaired for about a
third the cost of a new one.
