Subject: [Spridgets] Tow vehicle --No LBC

Been shopping for a replacement tow vehicle since "clunkering" my old

van. Problem is, every truck in my price range has between 150,000 and

250,000 miles on it. Although my van asked very little of me for over

270,000 miles, my past experience is that trucks pretty much need a

complete frontend rebuild somewhere around 150K-ball joints, tie rod

ends, bearings, etc. Our old Ford Explorer easily cha-chinged a $3,000

garage bill at 150K to keep it roadworthy.

So, advice? Should I stay away from anything that has not had a f/e

rebuild recently? Or spend money my wife won't give me and look for a

newer truck?
