The weather?? Great... But be careful what you wish for....

A plume of mid and upper tropospheric moisture from the mid Pacific
continues to arrive along the west coast of North America where mechanical
lift is producing significant precipitation along the west face of the
Sierras. Continued baroclinic development of the mid and upper tropospheric
trough across the northern Rockies is enhancing strong isentropic lift
throughout the north central states where significant deep layer shear
displaces semi-moist lower tropospheric instabilities. This process will
lead to baroclinic instabilities from the Montana Rockies eastward for the
next few days. Seeking baroclinic balance, surface wind gradients will
increase through the upper US and the combination of vertical
baroclinicities in that area along with increasing specific humidities,
higher mixing ratios and positive vorticity advection increasing with height
should lead to increasing snow banding and critical symetric instabilities
in the vicinity of developing Potential Vorticity streaks. The remainder of
the US remains under the influence of a broad cyclonic low pressure anomaly
with the eastern portion of the country still in the grips of lower heights
and relatively stable and stratified lower tropospheric influences - albeit
cooler than climatological norms.

Cheers!!
