I have 150K on my 1.8 NA (same motor, though you may have a VVT head
on a NB chassis 1.8).
Driving it like you stole it you can probably expect 200K+, no problem
if you do good maintenance.
If you granny it you can probably get 300K+.

They're all twin cam.  1.6s were in the pre 94 NAs.  NA is first body
style with pop up headlights, 89-97.
There were no 1998s.
NBs have exposed headlights, 1999-.2005.

Miata motors are very easy to turbo.  The motor itself can take a a
lot of boost in factory form.  You just need to bolt the turbo on and
sort out the computer control and injectors and beef up the clutch if
you go overboard with the HP.

I like my Miata.   It is like a LBC mated with a JDM  and the result
was an MG that doesn't break down.
