[Spridgets] Question Regarding a Rib Case

Hi Kirk,

The crunching you describe shifting into second is usually from a worn
baulk ring. I doubt you could have caused the extra wear from your
recent TO bearing issue, but I suppose it's possible if it was
marginal already. 2nd is usually the first to go. The other issue
could be that you are not getting enough free play for the clutch and
you are still marginally engaged when you shift. If the second gear
baulk ring is marginal, it could behave like this when shifting to
second, but not the other gears,

If you are interested in doing a 5 speed swap, I will have kits
available and am already doing the flywheel conversions for the Datsun
clutch for a couple of people. If you want to get your flywheel done
now, I could include you in the batch I'm getting together now. I also
have one gearbox available for sale.

Let me know

Gerard
