We used to do that with our race car (V8 Chevrolet) because we spent a lot of time adjusting valves, replacing pushrods, the occasional cam change, etc. With a cork gasket the valve cover could be removed and reinstalled easily. > And I am in between Bill and Frank; I glue the gasket to the cover and > oil the bottom of the gasket where it meets the head.
