We've all heard the joke "he'll be late for his own funeral."

Well, last week I attended a funeral for one of my uncles in Cedar
Rapids, Iowa and it truely happened.

The visitation was at a mission downtown (where one of my cousins
works) Wednesday evening and then the funeral was at his church across
town from that on Thursday afternoon.  During the service the mic was
opened for anyone to share a few words.  His eldest son spoke a few
words first, then #3 son spoke.  Then #1 goes back to the mic, looks
around at all the flowers and says "you may all be wondering where Dad
is... Well, someone put him in my truck last night and we forgot to
bring him in."  The whole family is known to crack jokes so I really
thought they were kidding until while son #4 was speaking #3 came
walking down the center aisle carrying the urn!  He placed it on the
stage, gave it a gentle pat and said "glad you could make it Dad!"

I've never been to a funeral like that before!  Dare I say it?  It was
an enjoyable time.
