[Spridgets] disconnecting front motor mounts?

4.  Trans. will stay in the car for now.  I might pull it later and reinstall as a unit.  I worked in my father's garage so I'm very familiar with stuffing rags around the output shaft before pulling a transmission.
5.  Separating engine and bellhousing it appears that the starter needs to come off first.
6.  Carbs and head have been off for several years now.
7.  Being as unfamiliar with these cars as I am, and working in my home garage, I'm going to try to not take off any more parts than I have to.
