Not all foam filters are the same. Also some foam filters (the sock type
for example) don't cover the air hole that the carb uses for I think some
of the air used for emulsifying idle fuel. Do you have a photo?

I have been using two foam filters on my OER side draft which is the
Japanese equivalent of the DCOE 45.

I would like opinion on whether or not my foam filters are doing a decent
job of filtering? I do plan to upgrade with K & N's. . yet at the same
time I have put a good amount of miles using the foam filters and wonder if
I have caused unnecessary harm to my motor?
