[Spridgets] Radiator temp gauge port size?

Ok,

I have tried a 5/8 -18 and it goes in a few threads but lock too soon, from
what I've read this means it is likely that this is a BSP thread.  Online
shows no BSP at Lowes or Home Depot, or Pegasus.. any other ideas?
