[Spridgets] Balking starting when hot.

I had a chevy that had the same problem.
Some one had removed the heat shield.
While our LBC's did not have a heat shield.
Could it be the solinoid is getting over heated for some reason?

A friend has a 1979 Midget, stock, still has the Stromberg, good, fairly new
battery.B B  He said he can start it up and take it out for a drive, but when
he stops somewhere and tries to start the car again while the motor is still
hot,B he just gets click-click-click, without the motor turning over----UNTIL
the car cools down, and then it starts normally.B B  Any ideas as to what is
causing this?
