That doesn't mean the radar unit was faulty.  It only means the operator got 
the wrong target.

Hell, Jim, you probably deserved it anyhow!  LOL

I once got a ticket doing 45 in a 55 zone...   Seems like the semi coming up
behind me was doing 70......   Those things aren't very good on motorcycles
unless you are the only target the radar has....
