Thanks!!

RE: "Nationals" ... We are not getting ahead of ourselves just yet.
This is a rookie team and most of the guys have never competed at any
organized activity before.

The guys need to practice and they need to (IMHO) learn to use a lot more
teamwork on the mechanical portion of the competition.
They practiced tagging out and in and letting others work but when it came
to the competition the first two guys in there just stayed in and tried to
do it all themselves.

The rules are such that only two members of a team can be up at the robot
"corral" at a time. Everyone else must stay behind the line a few feet away.
Naturally if there are 6 tasks to do and there are six guys it makes sense
for teams of two to tackle two tasks each, practice them till perfect and
let the other teams of two up when their tasks are complete.

In reality however the first two guys tend to want to stick it out and do
it all themselves rather than tag out and let others work.
This (IMHO) is not a recipe for success, and it definitely showed during
the competition.
I have to somehow get this suggestion across to the coaches, and that may
prove difficult since it's the main coach's son who is the one who is doing
it.
