That would be my plan of action! Remember awhile back when PPP took a 
capacitor apart and seemed disappointed that all he found was some 
plastic and aluminum foil? He must have overlooked the "magic."

Why wouldn't we use a diode, these days, to clamp that pesky induced 
hysteresis?
