[Spridgets] Weather... or not...

Ironic you should use the A word as I was thinking the same thing to myself this
morning.

We have an accumulation of 30" on the ground in CT and another foot predicted
for today with another storm possible on Saturday. Temps have stayed cold so all
of the snow that has fallen has accumulated with little melt-off.

It's bad here. Buildings old and new have collapsed, others have buckled roofs.
Many homeowners are or have shoveled the snow from their roofs. My own had 36"
on it. Ice damming is prevalent on a great many houses.
Some commercial building owners are snowblowing the snow off the roofs.

Restaurants are hurting from all the closures. One town in CT has canceled
spring break due to the # of snow days. Some large businesses in a local
industrial park are closed due to the weight of the snow on their roofs.

The whiteness is pretty in certain ways but CT is not used to these amounts of
snow, so there is a certain tension in the air. I don't know when this will
begin to melt but it better be gradual or there will be problems of flooding to
deal with.

Some say it's payback for re-electing Lieberman. I don't know about that, but I
do know it is the worst winter I have ever experienced in Connecticut.

.... sitting here looking at a beautiful sunny chilly day...

Schools are closing, evening events are cancelled (even curling!)... look at the
radar, and I guess we're gonna get F.... eet of snow.

But still, everyone's like waiting for Armageddon..

Goofy feeling.

Guess I'll go next door.
