[Spridgets] Oil vapor from cap/breather

Just starting our Sprite (948cc) after about a year of sitting unused - changed the oil, checked all the fluids....

We're getting a lot of oil smoke/vapor from the valve cover (cap removed) and enough down the breather to make the car run on when the ignition is turned off.  

Suggestions on ideas and things to check out would be appreciated!!
