I dunno how original you need to keep it or if 948s can take 1275 starters but ye olde Isuzu Starter #16878 might work. I've used them on 1275s and they work great. YMMV. Springs can be fabricated, too. Hopefully your starter repair joint will have some good old parts and know-how.
