Ok, there is WAAAY to much story missing here...

Bitten by a rattlesnake?

I was gathering eggs, and the snake got upset when I stepped on it.

Faced down muggers?

One of the hazards of driving a taxi on the night shift in Portland.

Shot at?

I was participating in a raid at a dog fight.

Shot?!!!

Same dog fight. This one didn't miss.

.. and Good Lord what do you keep in your attic and basement!!! ;-)

They're large, black, and have eight legs and fangs.

I am not afraid of snakes, despite having been bitten by a rattlesnake. I have no problem handling creepy, crawly, slimy things. I garden with a can of bug killer near my hand ready for use. My former neighbors very quickly learned that, when I screamed, they did not need to call 911, but to rush to my assistance carrying a can of Raid. I have cheerfully faced down muggers, been shot at and shot, and am afraid to go nowhere other than my own attic or basement.
