[Spridgets] 948cc dipstick question..

The dipstick in my 948cc goes into a hole in the block and appears (from what I hear) to sit on the bottom of the oil pan.

Question 1> Should there be a short tube fitted in that hole?
If so, doeas anyone have one to spare?

Question 2> How long is the dipstick.
I'd like to know if I have the correct one. Oil is sorta important!
