Unless you need a tap and die set, just buy the one you need, probably a 3/8
X 24 die? You can turn it with a wrench if all you are doing is cleaning up

Removed brake and clutch petals and damaged pivot bolt. I assume I can
rethread it.

Any recommendations on a reasonably priced Tap and Die Set?

Harbor Freight?
Eastwood?
Sears?
