[Spridgets] What fluid for clutch master cylinder?

Do you suppose AP would guarantee their parts when used with a type of  
brake fluid they don't recommend you use?  AP's racing division make brake  
fluids with a higher boiling point than DOT 5 so I guess they don't see a need  
to make a silicone brake fluid.
 
I think the previous comments from the list make clear why it's not  
suitable for race use.
 
I don't manufacture or sell brake fluid and no-one gives me it free so I  
don't have an axe to grind.
 
If people want to use silicone brake fluid, being a produce the manufacture 
 of the parts it is going to be used with don't recommmend, that's up to  
them.

I've had a good trawl around the net for both DOT 5  manufacturers and with 
brake seal manufacturers and I've started  getting replies from their 
technical bods.
SO FAR there the same two camps that are here on the Spridget (et  al) 
sites.  
Those who DON'T supply it say it is it is a product that is not fit  for 
use. 
Those who DO make it and / or sell it say it is the best thing since  
sliced bread!  
One I have got back says its properties make it unsuitable for race use  
but doesn't say what these negative properties are.
A couple of manufacturers say the product has improved since they started  
manufacturing it but haven't said why.  Only one has firmly emphasised  the 
need to have new seals AND to flush the pipes out with THEIR cleaning  fluid 
before use.
There has been no replies from seal manufacturers as yet and the  change 
over of rubber types for seals could be playing a part in this.
 
As far as I am concerned we are back in the trenches, there are both for  
and against camps, all have their own axe to grind.
